Lumière Creator Program

Partner Agreement

Effective 2026 · v1.3-2026-09 · This agreement governs your participation in the Lumière Creator Program. By submitting an application and accepting these terms, you agree to be bound by them. Acceptances recorded under earlier versions remain governed by the version accepted at that time and are never silently rewritten to a newer version.

1. Program Paths

Commissions are calculated on the net product subtotal (after discount, before tax and shipping) of each qualifying order attributed to you via your personal referral link or another attribution mechanism Lumière has approved for you in writing. A partner referral identifier is not a discount and does not create customer savings; storewide promotions and any valid Shopify code a customer enters manually remain separate. The paths available are:

Affiliate

10% flat

Flat commission on every tracked sale. No purchase, no content commitment, nothing gifted.

Creator

15% flat

Lumière assigns the eligible piece after reviewing your application. You purchase that assigned piece once at 50% off, and deliver 2 original content pieces within 30 days of confirmed delivery.

Trade Professional

Trade pricing

Trade pricing on qualified projects for designers, architects, and stylists. Not commission-based.

Content Collaboration

By written offer only

Paid work, gifted product, raw footage, or paid-advertising rights exist only where Lumière has sent a specific written offer and you have accepted it. Not applicable for.

Applying does not entitle you to acceptance, to a gifted product, or to paid work. Rates listed reflect the current published configuration and may be updated prospectively with notice (see Modifications).

2. The Creator Path

If your Creator application is approved, Lumière selects and assigns the eligible piece. The piece is assigned by Lumière and is not chosen by you, and it is not gifted.

  • You receive a single-use discount code granting 50% off that assigned piece only. It is not valid on other products and cannot be combined with other offers.
  • You earn a flat 15% commission on every tracked sale attributed to your personal referral link, from day one.
  • You deliver 2 original pieces of content — at least one original vertical video — within 30 days of confirmed delivery of the assigned piece. You choose the formats from our content options, and we confirm them before you begin.
  • Delivery means sending the content to Lumière. Posting it on your own channels is a separate term and is only required when your accepted offer says so.
  • Content you create for this collaboration may be used by Lumière across its website, social media, email and brand marketing and advertising. Raw footage, exclusivity, and advertising run from your own handle (whitelisting or allowlisting) are never included unless a written offer states them.

3. Attribution, Commission & Paid Media

Commission and content usage are two separate things. Commission is earned only on eligible sales attributed to you through your personal referral link, or another attribution mechanism Lumière has approved for you in writing, under Lumière's attribution rules in force at the time of the order.

  • You do not earn commission simply because Lumière uses content you created in a paid advertisement, boosted post, the Lumière website, an email, an organic brand post, or any other channel Lumière owns or operates.
  • Sales generated by paid media that Lumière funds, buys, and operates do not qualify for commission solely because your content appeared in the ad.
  • If a sale is validly attributed to you through your link, code, or other approved attribution, the normal commission remains payable — a later Lumière paid-media touch on the same order does not cancel your attribution.
  • Any revenue share or performance-based payment tied specifically to Lumière's paid-media use of your content is a separate written term in a specific offer. It is never implied by the standard 10% or 15% commission.

Usage rights never silently include raw footage, perpetual paid-advertising use, exclusivity, creator whitelisting or allowlisting, Spark or Partnership Ads, or advertising run from your handle. Each of those applies only where a written offer states it, and only for the term stated there.

4. Content Collaborations

Paid content work, gifted product, raw-footage delivery, revision commitments, and paid-advertising or exclusivity rights exist only under a specific written offer created and sent by Lumière and accepted by you. Each such offer states the exact deliverables, compensation, usage rights and their term, and any shipping arrangement. No such term is ever implied, defaulted, or granted by applying to the public program. Where an accepted offer requires us to send you a product, activation and shipping begin only after your written acceptance is on record.

5. 30-Day Commission Hold & Payouts

All commissions are held for 30 days from the original order date before becoming payable. This window covers Lumière's standard return and refund policy. Commissions from orders returned, refunded, or cancelled during the hold window are voided. Payouts are issued monthly on or around the 15th via PayPal or Wise, subject to a $50 minimum balance; balances below the minimum roll forward.

6. Refund Clawback

If a refund or return is processed after the associated commission has already been paid to you, the refunded commission amount is recorded as a negative adjustment and deducted from your next scheduled payout. If the deduction exceeds pending earnings, the negative balance carries forward against future commissions until settled.

7. Self-Referral & Code Misuse

Commissions are payable on genuine third-party sales only. Orders placed by you, by members of your household, or through your own accounts do not earn commission. Publishing your referral identifier or any partner-linked code to coupon, deal-aggregation, or cashback sites, bidding on Lumière brand terms in paid search, or presenting yourself as Lumière are prohibited, and such commissions may be voided.

8. Content License & Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting content through an accepted collaboration — or by publicly tagging Lumière of your own accord — you grant Lumière Light Studio a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to repost, repurpose, and edit for length or format that content on Lumière's own channels (website, email, social, press) with creator credit where practicable.

Where content is created specifically for Lumière under a collaboration you accepted, Lumière may use that collaboration content across its website, social media, email, and its own brand marketing and advertising, in line with the accepted offer.

Content merely tagged to Lumière outside an accepted collaboration is licensed for organic use only; paid-advertising use of it requires a written offer. Raw footage, exclusivity, whitelisting or allowlisting, Spark or Partnership Ads, and advertising run from your handle always require explicit written agreement.

You represent that the content is original to you and that you own or have secured all necessary rights (including any third-party model, music, or location rights). Where you publish incentivised content publicly, you must disclose it clearly — #ad or "paid partnership" — in line with FTC guidance.

9. Product Delivery

How delivery works depends on the compensation type in your accepted collaboration:

  • Creator purchase (you buy the assigned piece at your private benefit price): delivery details are collected at Shopify checkout, the same as any Lumière order.
  • Gifted (Lumière sends the piece at no cost): you provide your shipping address through the partner portal after accepting the offer.

Content deadlines run from confirmed delivery, not from approval. If a shipment is lost, damaged, or not delivered through no fault of yours, notify us and we will either re-ship or release you from the associated content commitment; you are not held to a deadline for a product you never received.

10. Non-Exclusivity

Participation is non-exclusive. You may collaborate with other brands, including competing lighting or home-decor brands, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

11. Termination

Ordinary termination. Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days written notice. In that case, commissions already earned in good faith remain payable, subject to the 30-day hold and clawback provisions above.

Termination for cause. Lumière may terminate immediately for fraud or material breach — including undisclosed sponsored content in violation of FTC guidance, self-referral fraud, discount-code misuse, or brand-safety violations. In that case pending commissions may be frozen and forfeited.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through direct negotiation first. Unresolved disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration seated in Delaware under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. Modifications

Program-level terms (this document) may change prospectively, with reasonable notice (email to the address on file, or a dashboard banner); your continued participation after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised program terms. This does not apply retroactively: a change to the program terms can never silently rewrite the specific, versioned collaboration snapshot you already accepted. Terms specific to an individual accepted offer change only by a further written addendum you separately agree to.

14. Tax Reporting

US-based creators earning over $600 in a calendar yearwill be required to submit IRS Form W-9 before further payouts are released. Non-US creators may be required to submit Form W-8BEN. Lumière may hold pending payouts until the required tax form is on file. You are solely responsible for reporting income and paying any taxes owed on commissions received.
