Lumière · Floor Pieces

Modern floor lamps that hold a corner without filling it.

Architectural lines, considered weight, warm ambient light. A floor lamp should anchor a corner the way a tree does — quietly and from a single point.

The Selection

0 Pieces

Floor vs. table — when each wins

A floor lamp wins when the corner is empty, when you want to light a chair without a side table, or when the room needs a vertical line to balance long furniture. A table lamp wins almost everywhere else.

Reading-corner geometry

For reading, the bulb wants to sit roughly behind your shoulder, around 140–160 cm off the floor. That puts soft light onto the page without throwing your shadow across it. Most modern floor lamps are built around this height.

Cable management

Every Lumière floor lamp ships with a fabric-sleeved cord and an inline switch. Run the cable along the baseboard, under a rug, or behind the chair — the cord should disappear, the lamp should remain.
